We had one simple mission in mind when we started, to make takeout and delivery better.
To us, better meant higher quality ingredients, more creative options, eco-friendly packaging and order ahead technology.
Then we had a crazy idea to make the ordering experience like being in front of a bunch of food trucks with the ability to order from several different small menus.
That ordering experience was the inspiration behind our “digital food truck” menus. The different menus give us the freedom to be creative with our talented culinary team, while giving you a variety of delicious scratch-made options.
So after a year of preparation, planning and property hunting, we have finally found our home and can’t wait to bring you the best takeout food you have ever had!
Founder, Andrew Martino
Andrew grew up in NJ and got his start in hospitality working at a bar while attending Syracuse. After graduating, he disappointed his mother and took a job as the GM of a restaurant and bar on Long Beach Island, NJ in 2007.
A few months after Superstorm Sandy in 2012, he moved to San Diego. In his time there, he served as a bar manager, general manager, and director of operations for various restaurant groups including launching multiple new concepts. In 2015, he started Martino Hospitality Services focusing on concept creation, menu development and operational analysis. He was also a founding team member of a Techstars company.
In 2015, he reconnected with his soon to be wife back and yada yada yada they settled down in Jersey City and have a dog, Buddy.(See Spot Rescue!)
While living in Jersey City, Andrew has been working for both corporate and private clients focusing in operations, food trends and food tech. During his research in 2017 on future food trends, he came up with the idea for Ghost Truck Kitchen.
